Wig Cap Size Guide: How to Measure Your Head
Choosing the right wig cap size is important for a comfortable, secure and natural-looking fit. A cap that is too tight may cause discomfort, while a cap that is too loose may move during wear.
Before measuring, prepare your natural hair as flat as possible and use a soft measuring tape. If you plan to wear braids, cornrows or a wig cap underneath your wig, measure your head with your hair prepared in the same way.
How to Measure Your Head
For the best fit, take these six measurements:
Circumference
Measure around your head, following your natural hairline, passing behind your ears and around the nape of your neck.
Front to Nape
Measure from the centre of your front hairline, over the top of your head, to the nape of your neck.
Ear to Ear Across Front Hairline
Measure from one ear to the other across the front hairline.
Ear to Ear Over the Top
Measure from one ear to the other over the highest point of your head.
Temple to Temple Around Back
Measure from one temple around the back of your head to the opposite temple.
Nape of Neck
Measure across the lower hairline at the back of your neck.
Most synthetic wigs are made in a regular or medium cap size and include adjustable straps at the back for a more personalised fit.

If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider your head circumference, natural hair volume and preferred fit. Customers wearing thick braids or cornrows may need slightly more room.
